This one is especially for my sister the historic archeologist and lover of the West. Since she is currently suffering through the heat wave ("...it's hotter than Satan's crotch after a racquetball tournament." I love that site! It's amazing! After talking to a local historian about old Boonville photos I busted that site out--he loved it.
ReplyDeleteHave you played with the interactive section? Where the images from the 1870s blend directly into the ones from the 70s(?) and then the 90s. Oh my god! It's awesome.
You know they photographed the spots from the 1800s at the exact location and they tried to do it at the exact time of year and time day. Dorky-cool stuff.
