I posted just a month ago on Jen Bekman's 20 X 200: Art for Everyone project. I have not received notification of an actual sale yet but Julian Thomas of The Bartender Never Gets Killed has posted his take on the idea. It will be interesting to see where this project goes.

I really feel, I should add a comment here, as I've had more time and talked a bit with Jen B herself...
ReplyDeleteLike many photographers, I hate marketing, and I hate branding, market speak etc etc. To my detriment. But, I think I'd bite my arm off to have someone fighting my corner like jen Bekman seems to do for her artists. I also really like the 20x200 idea as proposed by Jen. A way to get art intohomes that wouldn't otherwise have it, and for the artist, to do this on the back of a marketing campaign that leads to higher priced sales.
I've just started offering cheap prints myself, and I'm thoroughly enjoying myself. I spent the weekend printing and shipping to people who otherwise I wouldn't have had access to.
Anyway, great blog! I really enjoy the photographers you link to.
